Chrism Mass (Mass of the Holy Oils)

Traditionally, the Chrism Mass is held in Cathedrals in the morning on Holy Thursday.  However, for pastoral reasons, many Cathedrals now hold this Mass earlier in Holy Week.  For example, the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul in Providence, RI, normally holds their Chrism Mass on the Monday of Holy Week, usually in the evening.
