Ascension of the Lord

In many dioceses, particularly in the Eastern United States and in Nebraska, the Ascension is celebrated as a Holy Day of Obligation on the Thursday after the Sixth Sunday of Easter.  In many other dioceses, however, it is moved in place of the Seventh Sunday of Easter.
